Bright and poised, this Burgundy reveals ripe red cherry and raspberry aromas with delicate floral perfume and a hint of forest floor. On the palate it shows silky texture, lively acidity and fine-grained tannins that give structure without weight. The finish is persistent and gently spicy. Producer notes point to careful, low-yield viticulture and a restrained use of oak in ageing to preserve primary fruit and clarity. Fermentation follows traditional methods with attention to extraction and temperature control; ageing is carried out in French oak with a modest proportion of newer barrels to add subtle spice and support. Vineyards sit on classic Burgundian soils with good drainage, worked with an emphasis on vine health and balanced yields.
