2022 Domaine Mia Mercurey Rouge Les Caudroyes

Bright and terroir-driven, this Mercurey reveals a lively core of red cherry, wild raspberry and redcurrant, layered with floral hints and subtle forest-floor earthiness. On the palate it’s mid-weight with taut, refreshing acidity, silky tannins and a savory, stony finish that lingers. Domaine Mia’s Les Caudroyes shows classic Côte Chalonnaise energy — racy, precise and food-friendly. The wine is vinified with careful, gentle extraction and matured in French oak to preserve purity and freshness. Well received by critics, it marries immediacy with the potential to gain a bit more complexity over a few years. Drink now–within a decade; decant about 45 minutes to open up aromatics.

Winery

Domaine Mia

Domaine Mia is a small, focused estate in the Côte Chalonnaise that emphasizes site expression and low-yield farming. The team works parcel-by-parcel, harvesting by hand and employing gentle extraction and temperature-controlled fermentations. Aging is carried out in French oak to add structure while maintaining bright fruit and mineral clarity — a restrained, terroir-first approach.
