Tasting note

A concentrated Clare Valley single‑site wine from Two Hands, crafted under winemaker Ben Perkins with fruit tended by Travis Coombe. The nose opens with dense black fruits—blackberry and blueberry—lifted by floral and balsamic hints and an assertive black‑pepper spice. Secondary notes of leather and espresso emerge with time in the glass, supported by a saline, mineral thread. The palate is full and intense: ripe fruit framed by firm, textured tannins and balancing acidity, finished with a long, polished length. The wine spent about 18 months in oak barrels, gaining weight and silky texture while retaining Clare's signature clarity. A good decant (60–90 minutes) helps the wine unwind; pairs beautifully with grilled and roasted red meats or robust aged cheeses.
