2014 Chateau Pontet Canet

A concentrated and refined Pauillac from a biodynamically farmed estate. The 2014 shows an intense crimson core with a precise nose of dark berries, cassis and floral violet, underscored by mineral and graphite notes that speak of its gravelly terroir. On the palate it opens with a full, elegant attack leading to a dense, silky mid‑palate framed by chiselled, persistent tannins and a long, saline finish. Hand‑harvested and carefully sorted, fermentation proceeds with indigenous yeasts and extended maceration, followed by malolactic in vats and 18 months ageing in French oak and amphorae. This is a structured, ageworthy wine that rewards decanting and patience.
