Tasting note: Bright silvery-gold in the glass with a fine, persistent mousse. Aromas open to white flowers, pear and baked brioche, edged by citrus zest and a hint of honey and toasted nuts. The palate is crisp and lively, with a creamy mid-palate and a balanced, generous finish that lingers with saline and subtle vanilla notes. Producer notes: Maison Perrier-Jouët traces its legacy to the mid-19th century and was an early pioneer of lightly dosed brut styles. The Grand Brut celebrates that heritage: a joyful, rounded cuvée designed to show generous fruit, floral perfume and delicate autolytic character. Winemaking: Crafted by the traditional method, the blend is vinified for lees contact and matured before disgorgement to develop fine mousse and brioche complexity. Unoaked maturation and a measured dosage (around 8 g/L) preserve freshness while imparting a soft, inviting texture. Cork closure. Vineyard notes: Sourced from many selected crus across Champagne, including a proportion of reserve wines, the blend is built to deliver balanced acidity and ripe fruit from cool, chalky terroirs. The house philosophy favors high-quality fruit that needs very little added sugar to achieve finesse and precision.
