Highly regarded by critics, it consistently scores in the high 80s to low 90s for its harmony and texture. Winemaking/Distilling Notes: This release is a small-batch blend composed largely of aged single malt and single pot still whiskeys (approximately 70/30), matured predominantly in ex-bourbon barrels for about 7–9 years. The maturation yields pronounced vanilla and oak spices while retaining fruity brightness. Vineyard/Field Notes: Though not a wine, its grain origins matter — sourced barley from Irish fields gives a fresh cereal backbone and orchard-fruit character.
