A bold, island-style cask-strength release from Talisker, aged eight years and bottled at natural cask strength. Expect immediate maritime smoke and sea-spray salinity layered over sweet malt, honeyed vanilla and oak spice. Black pepper and tarry peat notes give a savory, slightly briny edge, while citrus zest and dried fruit add brightness beneath the heat of high ABV. Full-bodied and warming on the palate, this special release shows Talisker’s signature coastal character—powerful, smoky, saline and long-lingering on the finish. Best enjoyed slightly diluted with a splash of water or after 10–20 minutes of breathing to open the aromatics.
