A refined Speyside single malt matured for 18 years and finished in sherry-seasoned and American oak casks. The nose greets you with baked apple, blackcurrant crumble, juicy pear, raspberries and lemon bon bons layered over old leather and orange marmalade. On the palate it’s syrupy and rounded — marzipan, honeyed figs, milk chocolate, toasted oak and a touch of aniseed lead into a smooth, lingering sweet finish. Crafted by Aberlour and released as a Double Cask edition (Batch 1), this bottling balances rich sherry influence with classic Speyside orchard fruit and toasted oak spice. Serve neat or allow about 10–20 minutes in the glass to open; excellent with dark chocolate or aged cheeses.

Aberlour Distillery, founded in the late 19th century in the heart of Speyside, is known for its emphasis on sherry-cask maturation and fruity, full-bodied single malts. Now part of the Pernod Ricard family, Aberlour uses local spring water and traditional floor maltings and stills to produce spirit that responds well to extended oak ageing. The Double Cask 18 Year Old reflects the distillery’s practice of marrying sherry-seasoned European oak influence with American oak for balance and complexity.
