Tasting note: A warm, inviting single malt with fragrant top notes of orange marmalade, baked orchard fruit and honey, followed by vanilla, cinnamon and a touch of toasted oak. On the palate it is rounded and silky—layers of dried apricot, toffee and gentle baking spice lead into a long, spiced-cedar finish. Producer notes: Crafted by The Glenrothes and matured for 15 years under the stewardship of Master Distiller Laura Rampling, this expression is unpeated and highlights the distillery's emphasis on fruit-forward, cask-led character. Winemaking (distilling) notes: Distilled in traditional copper pot stills and finished in a combination of carefully selected oak casks that impart vanilla, butterscotch and delicate wood spice. The whisky sits at 43% ABV, offering a balanced delivery of flavour without aggressive heat. Vineyard (region) notes: Born in the heart of Speyside—an area famed for its fertile barley country and temperate climate—the spirit reflects bright, fruity notes often associated with the region's malthouses and well-ventilated dunnage warehouses. Serving suggestion: Pour and allow to rest in the glass for 10–15 minutes or add a few drops of water to open aromatics. Best enjoyed neat or with a splash of water alongside rich desserts or savoury cheeses.
