【Sommelier’s Notes】Ode to the Dark pours deep amber‑mahogany. On the nose: PX-soaked figs, sticky raisins, black treacle and a dusting of baking spice. Palate is plush and dense — chewy molasses, caramelised orange peel, dark chocolate and old leather; oak tannins frame rather than dominate. Unpeated, but weighted — each sip finishes long with a cocoa and toasted oak echo. Best enjoyed slowly in a tulip glass.

Glendronach Distillery, founded in 1826 in the Highland region, is celebrated for traditional sherry‑cask maturation. Now under Brown‑Forman ownership, the distillery sources Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez casks to produce richly sherried single malts. This release is non‑peated and No Age Statement, crafted to showcase the concentrated influence of PX wood.
