A luminous late-harvest white from steep Mosel terraces, this Goldkapsel bottling opens with an inviting bouquet of honeyed orchard fruit—ripe apricot and yellow peach—lifted by citrus zest and delicate white florals. Beneath the fruit lies a clear slate minerality and a subtle petrol note that adds complexity with age. On the palate it balances generous residual sweetness with taut, racy acidity, giving a silky mid-palate and a long, saline-tinged finish. Producer notes: from a small family-run estate in the Mosel known for careful site selection and attention to ripe, late-picked fruit. Winemaking: fruit is hand-harvested at advanced ripeness, fermented cool to preserve aromatics and the ferment is arrested to retain natural sweetness; matured briefly in stainless tanks and large neutral vessels to keep purity and tension. Vineyard: steep, slate-soil slopes with long hang-time and cool climate influence, low yields and selective picking contribute to concentrated, expressive fruit. Serve slightly chilled; a short decant (20–45 minutes) helps the layers open. Excellent with fruit-based desserts, rich cheeses or gently spiced dishes.
