Sommelier's Notes: On the nose, mature rancio, toasted nuts and dried orchard fruits lead, followed by warm spices and gentle vanilla from long oak ageing. Delord dates back to 1893, when Prosper Delord travelled distilling in Gascony. Today the house combines century-old cellars (including Bonbonnes stored in the 'Paradise' room) with 45 hectares of family vineyards around Lannepax. Sylvain Delord masters both continuous and double distillation methods; ageing is predominantly in oak barrels with strict cellar management.
