The 2020 Blank Canvas Wines 'Abstract' Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough, New Zealand, is a wine of elegance and balance. It boasts an intense and seductive perfume of blackcurrant and white florals, complemented by savouriness and flinty minerality from the winemaking process. Wild fermented in seasoned French oak puncheons and lees-aged for 14 months, this wine is rich in texture and perfect for immediate enjoyment or aging gracefully. The vineyard, owned by the Holdaway family, practices regenerative viticulture, prioritizing soil health and dry-farming techniques.

Blank Canvas Wines is owned by Matt Thomson and Sophie Parker-Thomson. The vineyard is managed by the Holdaway family, who have been farming in Marlborough for generations. They practice regenerative viticulture, focusing on soil health through composting and mixed species plantings, and employ a zero-till policy. The 'Abstract' Sauvignon Blanc is dry-farmed and VSP-trained, with cane pruning.
