釀造與熟成：以高酒精度裝瓶（59.6%），經過精選桶陳以累積焦糖、香草與烘烤穀香，同時保留強烈的泥煤與海岸礦物感。建議少量加水或讓酒在杯中靜置約20分鐘，能讓香氣打開，口感更柔順。

田地與環境：原料為來自蘇格蘭本土的麥田，近海的風土與泥炭沼澤是這款酒性格的另一半。想像風裡帶鹹的海氣、泥炭切割後的土味與農地氛圍，這些都寫在酒裡。喝法上比較適合慢慢啜飲，搭配炭烤料理或濃郁起司會很對味。

Tasting Note: Octomore Edition 14.1 pours a deep golden hue and delivers an almost theatrical wave of super-heated peat smoke. Aromas of vanilla and spearmint sit alongside grilled pineapple, hibiscus tea and medicinal phenols. On the palate it’s rich and high-octane: butterscotch and smoked maple-sugar lead before a bright citrus zing of orange and lemon, toasted peppercorn and charred grains. The texture is oily, then tapers to a long, zesty finish with lingering smoke.

Producer Notes: From Bruichladdich’s Octomore series — legendary for pushing peat and exploring barley terroir — Edition 14.1 is a cask-strength statement of Islay character. The distillery, now part of a larger group, retains a strong focus on provenance, experimentation and careful cask selection.

Distillation & Maturation: Distilled at Bruichladdich and bottled at 59.6% ABV, this release showcases dense phenolic peat balanced by citrus lift and sweet oak influence. Matured in selected casks to build layers of charred grain, maple and vanilla while preserving a brisk, maritime edge.

Vineyard / Field Notes: The raw material is locally-sourced Scottish barley grown on coastal soils; Octomore’s identity is as much about the peat-cutting and Islay bogs as it is about the grain. Expect maritime salt, heather-smoke and the character of peatlands to come through vividly.

Serving: Best enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water to open the aromatics. Let it rest in the glass for about 20 minutes for the top notes to mellow and the mid-palate to reveal depth.
