Description
The 2014 Duhart-Milon-Rothschild is clearly a level up in quality compared to the Moulin de Duhart this year, with ample blackberry and cedar scents on the nose. As I observed from barrel, it is less austere than previous vintages of Duhart. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, plenty of blackberry laced with tobacco, Chinese five spice and just a faint hint of dark chocolate right on the finish. It should drink well over the next 12-15 years.

The 2019 Chateau Duhart-Milon is a testament to the storied terroir of Pauillac, offering a savory and classic profile that captivates the senses. This wine exudes a deep, dark, opaque ruby-red hue, with a nose that is rich in meaty and ripe-fruit aromas. On the palate, it presents a harmonious layering of ripe mulberry fruit, leafy cassis, and meaty undertones. The wine's classic foursquare style is elevated by a concentration of fresh fruit, fine cedar, and a backbone of warming alcohol and lively acidity. With powerful flavors that persist, this wine promises a memorable tasting experience.
