2003 Chateau Lagrange wears its years gracefully: blackcurrant and dark plum sit beside tobacco, a hint of cranberry lift and an undercurrent of blue-clay minerality. Tannins remain firm but refined; texture leans toward silky-savory rather than overtly plush. Open an hour before serving to let tertiary notes unfold.

[Winemaking & Vineyard]
Grown on gravel over deep blue clay, the fruit is handled plot-by-plot in 102 thermo-regulated stainless vats. Traditional fermentation at 26–28°C for 18–25 days with moderate pump-overs/pigeage or délestage; malo lactic via co-inoculation. Aged ~21 months in oak to integrate tannin and spice.
