品鑑筆記:酒色深邃帶紫紅光澤,香氣以濃郁黑果為主軸,夾帶礦物、煙草與些許紫羅蘭的花香。入口多層次,黑莓與黑醋栗的果實感紮實飽滿,暗巧克力、香料與雪松橡木相互呼應。單寧有力但打磨細緻,酸度帶來活力,整體口感圓潤且結構清晰,餘韻長且回味深遠。

酒莊與田地:波菲為聖朱利安名莊、二級列級酒莊,現由Cuvelier家族經營,葡萄園分散於整個產區,總計約80公頃,其中有一個20公頃的獨立園塊。平均樹齡約38年,靠近產區北側的園地賦予酒款獨特礦物與結構。

釀造與陳年:採取嚴謹的雙重分選(手工+光學),低溫浸皮約一週以萃取細緻香氣;自2018年起於破皮後加入非酵母菌以減少此階段使用二氧化硫,發酵期間每天進行泵轉以均衡浸出。酒液在桶中完成乳酸發酵,並於法國橡木桶中熟成約18個月,桶材精心挑選以求木質與果味的完美融合。飲用建議:年輕時醒酒一小時風味更顯親和,也非常適合陳年收藏。


Tasting Note: Deep ruby with purple hues. The nose opens with concentrated black fruits—blackcurrant and black cherry—lifted by graphite, tobacco leaf and a violet floral note. On the palate the wine is dense and layered: ripe dark fruit, subtle dark chocolate and spice segue into cedar and smoky oak. Texture is seamless and polished with fresh acidity balancing firm yet refined tannins, delivering a very long, persistent finish.

Producer Notes: Château Léoville Poyferré, a classified Second Growth in Saint-Julien and managed by the Cuvelier family, works across some 80 hectares of vineyards (including a single 20-hectare block to the northwest). The estate combines traditional Bordeaux discipline with modern precision under winemaking leadership and consultancy, aiming for expressive, ageworthy wines that reflect their terroir.

Winemaking Notes: Grapes undergo meticulous double sorting—by hand and by optical sorter—followed by a week of pre-fermentation cold maceration. Since 2018 a non-saccharomyces yeast is introduced early in the process and pump-overs are carried out daily through fermentation. Wines complete malolactic fermentation in barrel and are matured for 18 months in carefully chosen French oak to achieve a harmonious integration of wood and fruit.

Vineyard Notes: Vine parcels are dispersed across Saint-Julien with an average vine age around 38 years; harvest dates for 2019 ran from 20 September to 11 October. The 2019 vintage benefited from warm summer conditions producing a sun-kissed, concentrated crop with admirable balance—ripe, structured and made to age.
