A classic Pauillac from a celebrated Fifth Growth estate: deep, concentrated colour opens to aromas of cassis and black cherry layered with tobacco, cedar and subtle cigar-box spice. The palate is structured and energetic — ripe dark fruit framed by lively acidity, chalky minerality and polished yet powerful tannins. Built to age, the wine was hand-harvested, sorted and vinified using gravity-fed, temperature-controlled stainless steel vats before 18 months in French oak (a high proportion new), which adds spice and a refined oak lift. Vineyard parcels on Garonne gravel give the signature Pauillac firmness and ageing potential. Best enjoyed after decanting or cellaring; drinking window c.2027–2055.
