2022 Connetable Talbot

A classic Saint-Julien second wine: poised structure, ripe dark fruits and a fresh, lingering finish.

【Why choose it?】
- Careful vineyard selection -> Cleaner, more focused fruit in the glass.
- 15 months in oak (60% new) -> Adds depth and subtle spice without overpowering freshness.
- Family-run estate, meticulous winemaking -> Consistent quality at an exceptional value.

【Sommelier's Note】On pour you'll find a core of black cherry and plum framed by cedar, tobacco and violet. Medium to medium-plus body with polished, ripe tannins and a juicy backbone — approachable now after a short decant but with enough structure to cellar. The oak is present as spice and dark chocolate notes rather than heaviness.

【Winemaking & Vineyard】Hand-harvested with strict manual and optical sorting; fermentations in stainless steel, then 15 months in barrel (60% new). Sits on Médoc's classic gravel soils; managed by the Bignon-Cordier family with hands-on care across the estate.

【Occasions】Perfect for a Hong Kong dinner where you want Bordeaux pedigree without the sticker shock: weekend steak nights, celebratory roast lamb, or a relaxed dinner with aged cheese.

【Competitive Edge】Offers the structure and winemaking pedigree of Chateau Talbot at a more accessible price point — a smart pick for collectors and daily drinkers who want classic Saint-Julien character without paying first-growth premiums.
