Tasting note
This Meursault Grands Charrons 2022 shows the village’s classic pedigree — generous and layered, yet precise. Aromas of ripe stone fruits, citrus peel and toasted hazelnut give way to a rich, creamy palate with fine mineral lift and integrated oak spice. The texture is silky with a rounded mid-palate and a persistent, savoury finish that hints at truffle and browned butter. Producer notes: Crafted by Arnaud Sirugue and Sophie Noëllat, the cuvée reflects small-lot attention and a restrained use of new oak to preserve freshness. Winemaking notes: Hand-harvested fruit undergoes gentle pressing, barrel fermentation and full malolactic conversion with élevage in predominantly French oak (a portion new) to build depth while maintaining tension. Vineyard notes: Sourced from the Grands Charrons climat in Meursault — well-drained limestone and clay soils on favourable exposition producing concentrated, minerally fruit. Best enjoyed slightly chilled after a short rest or decant to open the aromatics.
