The 2020 Fernand & Laurent Pillot Les Vergers is a testament to the elegance and complexity that Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru can offer. With a soft hint of reduction that gives way to a fresh and pretty nose, this wine presents an array of citrus and floral notes, with a discreet touch of petrol adding depth. The palate enjoys very good volume with solid concentration, leading to a delicious medium-bodied experience. The finish is refreshingly lively and deceptively long, promising a wine that will not only drink well in its youth but will also reward those who wait 5 to 8 years. This is a wine worth exploring for its finesse and longevity.
