A refined Premier Cru from Morgeot that balances richness with energetic freshness. The nose opens to ripe orchard fruits, lemon zest and white floral notes, layered with toasted hazelnut and gentle vanilla from barrel ageing. On the palate it shows a creamy, almost tactile mid-palate, bright acidity and a saline mineral thread that drives a long, focused finish. Producer notes: made by the family-run Fernand & Laurent Pillot, this cuvée reflects careful vineyard selection in a limestone-rich site and low-yield viticulture. Winemaking: fermented and aged in oak barrels with extended lees contact to build texture and integrate oak, with attentive élevage to preserve clarity. Vineyard: Morgeot’s clay-limestone slopes give concentrated fruit and fine mineral lift, and the vineyard’s exposure yields grapes with ripe phenolics and balanced natural acidity. Serve slightly chilled with a short decant to let the aromatics open.
