2012 Domaine Jacques Cacheux Echezeaux Grand Cru

This Echezeaux Grand Cru from Domaine Jacques Cacheux delivers an expressive bouquet of ripe red cherry and raspberry layered with forest-floor notes, damp earth, truffle and a thread of cedar spice. On the palate it is medium‑to‑full-bodied with bright, energetic acidity and fine, silky tannins that frame concentrated mid-palate fruit. Oak ageing provides structure and subtle notes of toast and vanilla without masking the vineyard’s mineral core. The texture is refined and layered, leading to a long, savory finish showing leather, dried herbs and a lingering mineral thread. Best enjoyed after brief airing to reveal its complexity.
