Tasting note

Bright and poised, this Premier Cru from Champ Canet opens with lifted aromas of lemon zest, orchard fruits and white blossom, edged by wet-stone minerality and toasted hazelnut. The palate balances a creamy mid‑palate and gentle oak spice with lively acidity, finishing saline and persistent. Pernot-Belicard’s Champ Canet reflects careful vineyard selection on limestone-rich slopes and a measured cellar approach: fermentations and élevage in French oak (with a portion of new barrels), lees contact to build texture and restrained use of oak so the site’s mineral precision remains dominant. Best enjoyed after a short aeration to let the aromatics unfurl; pairs beautifully with rich poultry, smoked or buttery seafood and mature cheeses.
