Tasting note
Tasting Note: Bright, finely detailed red that opens with lifted aromas of red cherry, raspberry and redcurrant, followed by forest-floor and mushroom undertones. Gentle spice and floral hints frame a palate of silky tannins, focused acidity and a mineral-tinged finish.
Producer Notes: From Domaine Ramonet — a long-established Côte de Beaune producer known for meticulous vineyard work and a terroir-driven approach. This bottling reflects small-lot selection from Chassagne-Montrachet parcels, emphasizing elegance and balance.
Winemaking Notes: Fermented in small batches with careful, gentle extraction to preserve aromatics. Aged in French oak barrels with a measured proportion of older and a small share of newer wood to lend structure without masking purity. Moderate élevage allows freshness and complexity to unfold.
Vineyard Notes: Sourced from limestone-rich slopes of Chassagne-Montrachet where cool continental climate and well-draining soils deliver tension and mineral clarity. Low yields and attentive canopy management concentrate fruit and maintain balance, resulting in a refined mid-weight red with aging potential.
