Tasting note: Deep, inviting aromatics of dried orange peel, licorice, clove and a layered herbal bitterness lead into a rounded, slightly sweet palate. Vanilla and light oak cushion the intense botanical core, while a warming 35% ABV carries a long, bittersweet finish with lingering spice and earth.
Producer notes: Crafted by Jägermeister in Wolfenbüttel, each batch blends four distinct macerates made from a secret selection of herbs, blossoms, roots and fruits sourced worldwide. The recipe remains closely guarded, but the goal is simple: balance and complexity for a memorable digestif.
Winemaking/distillation notes: High-grade botanicals are macerated, then combined and left to marry in the cellar. The blend matures in one of the 445 oak barrels on site for up to a year, a gentle maturation that softens and harmonises the bitter and sweet elements while picking up subtle oak and vanilla notes.
Vineyard/botanicals sourcing: Rather than grapes, Jägermeister’s raw materials are harvested from many corners of the globe — aromatic leaves, roots and spices chosen for structure and flavour. The company’s Wolfenbüttel facility oversees blending, maturation and quality control to ensure consistency across every bottle.
Serving: Serve chilled or over ice as a digestif, or use as a bold, herbal component in cocktails.
