Kavalan Triple Sherry Cask Year of the Horse Limited Edition
Kavalan Triple Sherry Cask Year of the Horse Limited Edition
A limited-edition release from Kavalan showcasing triple sherry-cask maturation. On the nose it opens with concentrated dried fruits—raisins, fig and orange peel—layered with dark chocolate, toffee and warm baking spices. The palate is full-bodied and rounded, with rich caramel and vanilla from oak integration, espresso and toasted nut notes adding complexity, and a persistent, warming finish that carries cocoa and spice. Producer notes emphasize small-batch blending and careful selection of matured casks to achieve depth and balance. Matured predominantly in high-quality sherry casks, the spirit benefits from Kavalan’s subtropical ageing conditions in Yilan—warm days and humid nights accelerate interaction with wood, concentrating fruit and spice character. Best enjoyed neat or with a splash of water; allow a short rest in the glass (about 15 minutes) so the aromatics open fully.
