Les Allées de Cantemerle is the delightful second wine of 1855 Fifth Growth Château Cantemerle, grown in the gravel-rich soils of southern Haut-Médoc. The 2019 vintage showcases extraordinary energy and immediate approachability, thanks to an immaculate growing season marked by sun-drenched summer days and refreshing nights. At the winery, the parcels are carefully fermented before undergoing partial maturation in both oak barrels and stainless steel vats. This deliberate vinification shields the wine from excessive wood influence, ensuring pure fruit freshness takes center stage. In the glass, it leaps forward with vibrant strawberry, red cherry, and raspberry tones, underscored by sweet cedar and delicate baking spices. Supple, powdery tannins weave into a succulent mid-palate, concluding with a long, fresh, and slightly spicy finish that is ready to elevate any casual gathering or gourmet dinner.
