The 2015 Chateau Calon-Segur Le Marquis de Calon is a second wine that exudes charm and elegance. With a blend dominated by Merlot, this wine offers a silky and velvety texture, complemented by notes of cassis, fleshy plum, and a touch of iron and bay leaf. The wine is aged for 17 months in French oak barrels, 30% of which are new, adding a subtle complexity. The vineyard's unique gravel and clay soils contribute to its distinctive character. Hand-harvested and meticulously sorted, the grapes undergo temperature-controlled fermentation and maceration for 18-21 days.
