The palate is medium-bodied with tight-grained, fine tannins and a lively, spicy finish that stays focused and elegant. Producer notes: From the domaine of Maxime Dubuet-Boillot, this cuvée reflects the classic refinement of Volnay premier cru sites — an emphasis on clarity, balance and terroir expression. The house aims for precision rather than power, producing wines that marry perfume and structure. Winemaking notes: Hand-harvested fruit is handled gently to preserve aromatic lift. Fermentation follows a careful regimen with attention to extraction to keep tannins fine and well-integrated. Maturation in French oak (carefully managed) adds subtle spice and texture without overwhelming the wine’s natural finesse. Vineyard notes: Sourced from the Carelle Sous La Chapelle premier cru parcels in Volnay, the vines benefit from the limestone-rich soils and cool Burgundian climate that favour aromatic lift and finesse. Low yields and attentive viticulture promote concentration and balance in the finished wine.
