2019 Michael Mondavi Animo Cabernet Sauvignon

The 2019 Michael Mondavi Family 'Animo' Cabernet Sauvignon is a testament to the art of Napa Valley winemaking. This full-bodied wine boasts a rich tapestry of saturated flavors, including black cherries, black olives, dark chocolate, and tobacco. The velvety, persistent tannins frame the wine's complexity and concentration, making it an excellent candidate for cellaring. With its origins in the rocky volcanic soils of the Animo Vineyard, the grapes benefit from a long growing season at high elevation, resulting in a wine that is both powerful and elegant. Aged for 20 months in French oak, with 50% new barrels, this wine is a luxurious experience that promises to evolve beautifully over the next decade.
