2017 Michael Mondavi Emblem Cabernet Sauvignon AC Label

A classic Napa Cabernet that pairs bold structure with polished elegance — big, immediate, and reliable.

【Why choose it?】
1) Estate pedigree -> Confidence from a recognised Mondavi family label without the extreme price tag.
2) Ripe concentrated fruit -> Immediate appeal in glass; plush but structured for food.
3) Balanced oak ageing -> Toasted spice and cedar that support, not mask, the fruit.

【Sommelier's private note】Pour and wait — within an hour this 2017 opens to dense blackcurrant, dark cherry and a tobacco-cedar core. Tannins are present and grippy but ripe; mid-palate carries cocoa and graphite notes with a long, peppery finish. Serve slightly below room temperature after decanting to reveal secondary spice layers.

【Occasion】Sunday roast with friends, celebratory steaks, or an intimate Cantonese roast dinner where the wine’s weight offsets fatty cuts.

【Competitive edge】Offers Napa Valley structure and Mondavi heritage at a mid-tier price: serious character without the extreme auction premium.
