Tasting note
Tasting note: Bright and refined, this second-label white from Château Margaux greets the nose with lemon zest, green apple and subtle white flowers, layered over a persistent flinty/mineral thread. On the palate it’s lively and focused — taut acidity drives a mid-palate of stone fruit and saline minerality, finishing clean with a refined, almost savory persistence. Producer notes: Crafted under the Château Margaux estate stewardship (owned by Corinne Mentzelopoulos-Petit), this bottling seeks clarity and elegance, echoing the estate’s signature restraint and terroir expression. Winemaking notes: Grapes are gently pressed and fermented at cool temperatures, with a portion aged on fine lees and a careful use of neutral oak to add texture without overpowering freshness. Lees stirring and restrained élevage preserve vibrancy while building mid-palate weight. Vineyard notes: Sourced from estate parcels influenced by gravelly soils and the nearby Gironde estuary, the vineyards benefit from a maritime climate and low yields that concentrate flavors. Sustainable vineyard practices and rigorous selection ensure healthy fruit and lively aromatics.
