Tasting note

Bright, energetic and textured, this Marlborough single-vineyard release opens with lifted aromas of orchard fruit, lemon zest, crushed flowers and a stony mineral note. The palate is medium-bodied and fleshy with ripe pear and apple framed by lees-driven texture and a clean, refreshing acid line that makes the wine mouthwatering and vivid through the finish. Producer-led attention in the vineyard and careful handling in the winery preserve primary fruit while adding subtle spice and savoury lees complexity. Fermentation with some lees contact and gentle maturation brings weight and a silken texture without losing freshness. Serve lightly chilled and allow about 10–20 minutes in the glass to relax; pairs well with pork, shellfish, delicate Asian dishes and creamy cheeses.
