2012 Two Hands Shiraz Ares Barossa (1500 ml)

Soul Hook: A Barossa powerhouse that wears its oak and spice like a signature.

Why choose it? 1) Flagship selection -> Hand‑picked top parcels delivering concentrated intensity and ageability. 2) Proven pedigree -> High scores from top critics give confidence for cellaring or special‑occasion drinking. 3) Crafted care -> Experienced team and careful oak maturation produce layered spice and long finish.

Winemaker's & Vineyard Notes: Ares is Two Hands' pinnacle bottling, assembled from the most expressive parcels each vintage. Under Ben Perkins and viticulturist Travis Coombe, the fruit is harvested for opulent ripeness, matured in quality oak to knit spice, vanilla and toasted notes into the core fruit.

Sommelier's Private Note: Black fruit compote up front—blackberry, plum and dark cherry—then folding into warm baking spice, bourbon vanilla, tobacco and an undercurrent of espresso and liquorice. Dense and textured on the palate with broad, rounded tannins and a long, savoury finish; best after a good decant.

Occasion / Pairing: Ideal for celebratory dinners, roast-heavy feasts or a refined BBQ on the roof. Matches beautifully with rich red meats, game and mature cheeses.

Competitive Edge: Delivers near‑top‑tier Barossa intensity and ageing potential at a price point below ultra‑rare single‑vineyard icons—powerful, concentrated and reliably ageworthy.
