Tasting note: Deep ruby with a garnet rim, this Clare Valley single-vineyard bottling opens with concentrated black fruit—blackberry, black cherry and plum—lifted by cracked black pepper, dried herbs and a hint of smoked meat. Oak-driven notes of vanilla, cocoa and warm spice add complexity. On the palate it is rich and layered, firm but polished tannins supporting plush fruit and a long, savory finish.
Producer notes: Crafted under the stewardship of winemaker Ben Perkins and owner Michael Twelftree, this wine is a focused expression from a named vineyard parcel managed by Travis Coombe. Two Hands aims to capture site purity and ripe, concentrated flavors while retaining regional freshness.
Winemaking notes: Grapes were hand-picked and fermented in small batches with careful extraction to balance power and elegance. The wine was matured in a combination of French and American oak for approximately 16–20 months, with a portion in new oak to provide structure and spice.
