Winemaker & Producer Notes: Crafted under Ben Perkins and owned by Michael Twelftree, Two Hands selects fruit from a 'secret block' in the Barossa—managed by Travis Coombe—to produce wines that are intense, refined and ageworthy. The 2021 vintage scored 97 points from Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate and was built to drink 2023–2036.
Winemaking: Gentle extraction to preserve ripe blue-black fruit, followed by maturation in a mix of new and used oak to layer spice, vanilla and fine-grained tannins. No compromise on ripeness or balance—the oak supports rather than dominates.
Tasting Note (Sommelier’s Note): Opens with concentrated blackberry and plum, then black pepper, dark chocolate and a streak of smoked meat. Texture is plush yet firm—tannins are ripe and sculpted, acidity keeps the profile lively, finish is long with lingering cocoa and pepper spice.
