Deep amber and richly layered, The Yamazaki 18 Year Old is a benchmark Japanese single malt from Suntory’s pioneering Yamazaki distillery. The nose opens with dried fruit — raisin and apricot — woven with cafe au lait and the distinctive perfume of Mizunara oak. On the palate it unfolds into blackberry and jammy strawberry, dark chocolate and warm baking spice, supported by velvety oak and subtle smoke. Long, spicy and exceptionally smooth on the finish. Crafted in Japan’s oldest malt distillery, Yamazaki benefits from soft spring waters, a misty microclimate and patient maturation in a mix of oak casks (notably Mizunara), producing a complex, multi-layered spirit for contemplative sipping.
