Castello di Fonterutoli創立於1435年，一直由Mazzei家族所擁有及經營，更係最中一個極具影響力嘅酒莊。酒莊最靚嘅葡萄園，分別散佈係Fonterutoli, Siepi, Badiola, Belvedere及Caggio；而我地推薦嘅哩款Siepi更被意大利餐飲權威評鑑指南Gambero Rosso評為影響意大利葡萄酒發展嘅50款酒之一，01年仲攞埋三杯獎!

Siepi位於海拔260M、向南嘅斜坡，係意大利其中一塊最古老嘅葡萄園。哩款酒以Sangiovese及Merlot釀成，仲係區內好有代表性嘅Super Tuscan。98年有香濃車里子、紅莓乾、香料、泥土、茶葉等香氣，仲有淡淡朱古力嘅味道，飲落有勁道又優雅。哩款酒年產量只有兩萬幾支，而且已完全成熟，真係可遇不可求架!

Commented as “One of the 50 wines that changed Italy wine style" by Gambero Rosso”, the winery has devoting itself to traditional winemaking with abiding respect for its lands for almost six centuries. Castello di Fonterutoli was established in 1435 by the Mazzei family, their top vineyards are spread in Fonterutoli, Siepi, Badiola, Belvedere and Caggio.

One of Italy's oldest vineyard - Siepi, is situated at an altitude of 260M and benefited by exceptional climatic conditions. The wine is an equal blend of Sangiovese and Merlot, which opens with a perfumed nose of cherries, raspberries and spice, followed by layers of toasted oak, earth and tea leaves. Only 26k bottles were produced, this matured Super Tuscan is a must try!
