酒莊建立時莊主發現園中嘅土釀有別一般葡萄園, 泥上佈滿好多小石頭, 於是將酒莊正式命名為Beaucaillou (原意為美麗嘅鵝卵石), 亦係因為哩種小石頭令寶嘉龍嘅葡萄酒充滿風土特色。Robert Parker更評價寶嘉龍做「超二級」, 水平已可同一級莊媲美!

1985嘅波爾多並非陽光充足或好有力量嘅年份，但反而更顯個性及細緻優雅。瓶陳至今已完全成熟，皮革、野味、乾香草、雪松等香氣同紅、黑色水果香融為一體，飲落淡雅香純。而且哩支寶嘉龍於2011年由直莊直出，保證有適當嘅儲存環境，品質無懈可擊。除咗可以農曆新年品嚐，哩支85年仲剛好可以要黎送禮畀生肖屬牛嘅朋友!

Chateau Ducru Beaucaillou is named after the beautiful pebble stones found in its unique soil. The special soil has contributed to the terrior of the Chateau, making elegant, tasty wines. Wine critic Robert Parker rated Ducru Beaucaillou as a "super second", its quality comparable to Bordeaux First Growths.
