2013 was a very challenging vintage, and yields for Pichon Lalande were absurdly low. The blend was 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, which was an historic first at the estate. Despite the challenging conditions, 2013 Pichon Lalande shows attractive red and black currant fruit, hints of bay leaf and underbrush, soft tannins, medium body and a supple, charming, seductive character. This vintage is ready to drink now, and would be perfect to enjoy during the coming holidays.
