Hautes Maizieres lies just below the exceptional 1er Cru Les Suchots, and the vineyard is planted with vines with average age of 70 years, symbolizing the finesse and elegance that are typical of Vosne. The almost perfect 2009 framed an expressive nose of ripe berries, earth, anise and leathery notes that introduce delicious but quite serious middle weight flavors that are quite solidly structured without being aggressive and finishes with real verve.
