Morey-St-Denis is the right balance between body and fruit. Mid-point between the firm, masculine style of Gevrey-Chambertin, and slightly more open, perfumed style of Chambolle-Musigny. 🌷 While the merited Grand Cru Clos de la Roche is quintessential Morey, and is considered one of Morey's best climats. 💯

Vintage 2005 just hit its drinking window, smells sweetly of violets, cherry and dark berry fruits; explosive and intense in the mouth, emerging with tobacco, leather, earth, truffle and game. There is good complexity and acidity to the delicious and attractively textured weight. 🥰
