Tasting note

Deep ruby in the glass, this Côtes du Rhône Villages offers a generous nose of ripe dark fruit—plum and blackberry—woven with black pepper, dried herbs and a dusting of leather and cedar. On the palate it is full-bodied and warm, showing concentrated fruit, structured but ripe tannins and a spicy, savory finish. The wine is produced by a well-established Rhône house that sources grapes from sun-drenched village parcels; fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled vats with malolactic conversion and a period of aging on oak to add subtle spice and texture. Ready to enjoy with hearty grilled or roasted meats, braises and mature cheeses after a short decant to open up its layers.
