品飲筆記:卡龍世家三牌 2018 呈現清新又帶點沉穩的風格,香氣以紅黑果實為主,夾雜雪松、烤香料與礫石礦感。口感中段飽滿,酸度活躍,單寧結構明確但有彈性,木桶香與果味協調不搶眼。生產與釀造:此款為卡龍世家旗下的第三酒款,主要取自年輕樹齡的葡萄,強調即飲的鮮活果香。採用手工採收、振動式機械分選加最後人工挑選;控溫不鏽鋼發酵槽中浸皮18–21天,蛋清澄清,最後在三年桶(法國橡木)中熟成16個月,讓單寧更圓潤。葡萄園與土壤:葡萄園位於礫石頂層之上,下面是以第三紀黏土為主的基床,礫石與黏土的組合帶來結構與礦物感,特別適合產生有層次的紅酒。整體來說,這款酒香氣直接、口感紮實,短暫醒酒(約45分鐘)即可展現最好的一面,搭配烤牛、烤羊或風乾硬質起司十分合拍。

Tasting Note: Bright, immediate and savory — the 2018 Le C de Calon Ségur opens with lifted dark-red and black-fruit aromas, edged by cedar, warm spice and a subtle mineral note from the estate’s gravelly soils. On the palate it shows succulent fruit, medium-plus body and a firm, structured tannin frame softened by careful oak ageing. Producer Notes: The wine is the approachable third wine from the Calon Ségur family, made primarily from the estate’s younger vines to offer freshness and early drinkability. Since 2013 it has returned to the historic Saint-Estèphe de Calon Ségur name. Winemaking Notes: Hand-picked fruit undergoes a first selection on the vine, followed by mechanical vibration sorting and a final hand selection. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled conical stainless-steel tanks with maceration for 18–21 days. The wine is fined with egg white and aged for 16 months in three-year-old French oak barrels, resulting in a measured oak presence. Vineyard Notes: Vines are planted on a thick Quaternary gravel layer over predominantly Tertiary clay, with a fine lacustrine clay cap at the gravel summits — a terroir that lends mineral lift and structural intensity. With modest production (around 50,000 bottles) and traditional handling, this bottling is intended for near-term enjoyment but gains poise with short decanting. Serve slightly cool for a red and decant about 45 minutes for optimal aromatics. Pair with roasted or grilled beef, lamb dishes and savory, aged cheeses.

The third wine is sourced mainly from younger vines on the estate and is crafted for freshness and early drinking while reflecting the gravel/clay terroir of Saint-Estèphe.
