The 2019 Klein Constantia Vin de Constance Natural Sweet Wine is a luxurious and historic dessert wine, crafted from 100% Muscat de Frontignan. This wine is a recreation of an iconic 18th-century favorite, known for its opulent and luscious profile. The grapes, harvested in multiple passes to capture a range of acidity and sugar levels, are vinified separately and aged for 18 months in 50% new oak barrels, followed by another 18 months in large foudres. The result is a wine with gossamer-light aromatics of Muscat, floral and gently herbal notes, and a rich fruit profile that includes mango and pineapple. On the palate, a vibrant orange acidity cuts through the buttery, rich flavors, creating a balanced and feather-light finish. Perfectly paired with blue cheese, foie gras, fruit tarts, or creme brulee.
