Tasting Note: Bright dark-ruby colour opens to an aromatic mix of cedar, tobacco, red berries, lavender and a hint of sandalwood. On the palate it is medium-bodied with polished, linear tannins, juicy red cherry and plum, layers of smoke, dark chocolate and espresso, and a saline-mineral lift on the finish. Producer Notes: Jacques Thienpont recently reacquired vineyards in Saint-Emilion close to Troplong Mondot and Château Valandraud — a return to family roots that informs the wine's ambition and sense of place. Vineyard Notes: AOC Saint-Emilion. Estate surfaces around eight hectares planted on clay and limestone-clay soils, giving firm structure, freshness and a mineral thread to the fruit. Winemaking Notes: Matured for 16 months in oak, bottled with a natural cork. The oak aging brings cedary spice and subtle vanilla while keeping a refined texture. Drinking Window & Service: Best enjoyed from 2026 through 2048; decant 60–90 minutes when young to open the aromatics and soften tannins. Pair with roasted or braised red meats, game and mature cheeses.
