品飲筆記:這款來自Rutherford的紅酒呈深紅寶石色,邊緣帶淡紫光。初聞以深黑果實為主軸,接著浮現松露、茴香和可可的土壤感,尾韻有香草、甘草與雪松的香料層次。口感結構分明,單寧細緻圓潤,酸度帶來清爽感,整體平衡且餘韻綿長。
釀造與陳年:莊園採摘以人工為主,入小型發酵槽進行約21天的浸皮,讓果皮與汁液充分交換色澤與單寧。熟成18個月於100%法國橡木桶,其中50%為新桶,奶油感與香料香氣由此而來,但依舊保有果實的清新。
葡萄園與當年風土:葡萄來自多個莊園地塊(Chateau、Cohn、Creek、Gate、Gio、La Lomita、Lower Cask、Red Barn、Walnut),2017年冬春雨量充沛,有利開花與結果,且部分園區以有機方式栽培,帶出整體酒款的平衡酸度與明亮香氣。
口感印象:入口先是濃郁黑果,隨即化為泥土與香料的層次,單寧雖有架構但揉合得很柔和,適合搭配燒烤牛排、香料羊肉或蘑菇類料理。若想更開放香氣,可先醒一小時飲用,或放入酒窖繼續陳年。
Tasting Note: Deep ruby with a violet rim, this Rutherford red opens with layered dark fruits—blackberry and black cherry—then moves into savory notes of truffle, fennel and cocoa. Toasted vanilla, cedary spice and hints of licorice emerge through a long, generous finish. The palate is firmly structured yet polished, with fine, round tannins and a lively backbone of acidity.
Winemaker & Production: Fruit was hand‑harvested from estate blocks during early September to early October and placed in small fermenters for a 21‑day maceration. The wine matured for 18 months in 100% French oak, half of it new, giving the wine measured spice and creamy oak lift while preserving freshness.
Vineyard & Vintage: Fruit comes from several estate parcels including Chateau, Cohn, Creek, Gate, Gio, La Lomita, Lower Cask, Red Barn and Walnut. A wet winter and spring in 2017 provided abundant soil moisture for even budbreak and set; the organically farmed pockets contributed balanced acidity and bright aromatics to the final blend.
