Tasting note
Bright and focused with a citrus-driven profile: ripe lemon, orange peel and a hint of warm garden herbs sit over a distinctly flinty mineral thread. The palate is medium-bodied, juicy and lively, driven by crisp acidity that gives lift and precision. The finish is dense and flavorful, showing concentrated citrus and salinity that linger. Produced from organically grown fruit in the Lieu-dit Berg, the wine is made with a low-intervention approach to preserve primary aromatics and site expression. Fermentation and élevage are handled to retain freshness—neutral vessels and careful temperature control keep the fruit vibrant while allowing mineral detail to emerge. Vineyards on the Schieferkopf slopes benefit from cool-climate conditions and mineral-rich soils, with good sun exposure and well-draining, schistose slate that brings tension and clarity to the wine. Drink now through the early 2030s for both fresh citrus character and developing complexity.
