A concentrated and refined Pomerol from Château Hosanna’s plateau holdings, the 2020 opens with an elegant floral perfume—violet and lilac—followed by layered black and blue fruits, sweet cocoa and subtle truffle earth. The palate is full-bodied and richly textured yet agile: ripe, succulent fruit framed by supple, ripe tannins, balanced freshness and a refined mineral thread. French oak (c.16–18 months, about half new) brings a fine spice and vanilla lift without dominating the fruit. Gentle, controlled maceration in thermo-regulated vats preserves purity and gives the wine its silkiness. Decant ~90 minutes to reveal its floral top notes and complex inner layers. Drink with grilled ribeye, roast lamb or mature cheeses; excellent cellar potential through mid-century.

Château Hosanna sits on Pomerol’s historic plateau and was long known under the name Certan Giraud until its purchase by Ets. Jean-Pierre Moueix in 1999. The estate blends traditional Pomerol character with meticulous modern cellar work—low yields, careful sorting and gentle extraction—to craft wines that combine plush texture with precision and ageing potential.
